Located on the very edge of a nature reserve, we have the daily inspiration of Western Australian wildlife on our door step, quite literally some days.
Almost every day we have Carnaby Cockatoos watering and bathing in our water bowls set up for the passing wildlife. They are often joined by Elegant parrots, Western King Parrots and all manner of beautiful smaller species of birds, including our namesake, the Western Splendid Wren. We have two distinct family groups on the property and often see the stubborn little blue males beating their own reflection up in the wing mirrors of our cars or windows of the house. 

We are also visited daily by several groups of Western Grey Kangaroos, and it is great to get to know the various family groups as they wander in for a carrot and a drink. (We stay away and only provide a treat or two, never making them reliant on us feeding them.
